Question about 1994 Ford Escort
The only time the pump will work is when your turnin the car over.. the car was runnin fine i drove it to work and back just fine. the next day went to move it it was dead.it will start then shut right back off. i thought mabe it was the fuel pump so i changed it but its still doing it..i have been tryin to get the car goin now for 3 or 4 weeks cant get it to run the fule pump will not prime.i dont reallt know what else to to plz help thanks
Are you even sure it was the fuel pump to begin with?
All electric fuel pumps shut off after the key is turned on in just a few seconds. It will only run as long as the car is running. So it makes me think that the fuel pump was ok to begin with. You probably need to change the ignition module. Its the flat thing that the wires plug into on the side of distributor. Let me know what happens
