Question about 2005 Ford F-150
I am having an issue with the keypad on the door. The remote works, the locks, work, everything works, except the keypad. There seems to be no power to it. The fuse (I assume position 28) is okay. It was working just fine, then on and off, and no it doesn't even light up when any of the numbers are pushed. Thank for looking.
There is a technical service bulletin out on this probelm on 2004/2005 F150.
ISSUE: Some 2004-2005 F-150 vehicles built through 2/7/2005, may exhibit an inoperative keyless entry keypad. This may be due to the vehicle security module (VSM) not being configured to accept keyless entry keypad input.
The fix is to reprogam the vehicle security module with as-built data. So it would have to go to the dealer to do this.
The tsb number is 05-5-5.
