I've never heard of an ovp fuse on a benz. I think what your talking about is the base module. on the next fuel injection system. I think yours is a c.i.s. which has an overvoltage relay behind the passanger side of the rear firewall. you'll see a panal with phillips screws remove it and you'll see a red top and silver body color relay with a 10 amp fuse on top. if it has the base you'll see a metal cover with 4mm allen head bolts remove lid and the base module has a series of 10 amd blade style fuses in it. hopefully this is your problem

After having had to jump start the battery, the camera and radio don't work. How do you reset it or check to see if something got disconnected when jumped.?

Normally jump starting doesn't involve disconnecting anything. You put the leads from a good battery onto the terminals of the bad battery and start the vehicle. I hope you didn't put the good battery on, start the vehicle and remove the battery with the engine still running and connect the old one? That is a recipe to cause electrical damage as the charge from the alternator has nowhere to dissipate its excess amps.

Check your fuses.

I hooked the battery posts up wrong when jump starting my cl type s put a new battery in & it still won't start what happened? Fuse blown? Or something worse?

It won't start because you will have fried various electronic components probably including the onboard computers.

So its off to the dealer so they can tell you all the expensive parts you will now need to replace to get the car running normally again.

Trying to start my car I put the jump leads on the wrong way round. Now I have no power even with the jump leads on. What have I done?

You opened up 2 fuses, its located in the engine fuse junction box listed as # 71, # 78, the 71 is a 10amp fuse the 78 is a 15 amp fuse, this will restore you.

My daughter car battery went dead had a jump start but her cousin put the leads on the wrong terminal could this have blown the main fuse as no lights at all put new battery on today

Yes this will defiantly blow the main engine fuse. This fuse is located in the engine compartment and is usually bolted down with 10mm bolts.

Check the seat belt wiring under your front seats, seat belt pre tensioners are related to the srs system and sometimes with seat adjustment these can become loose. The wires are mostly yellow in colour and if you check all connections are tight this may solve your problem

You have a few blown fuses; either under the hood or in the dash fusebox. Hooking up jumper cables backwards will pop a lot of fuses. I see this quite a bit.
