Saturn L200 2003 speaker replacement

One of my speakers blown and I was trying to find out how can i replace the speakers myself?

My rear 2 door speakers are blown. The rear driver side has bass only, the rear passenger side- nothing. I do have working speakers in the front doors. What size are the rear 2 door speakers and how do you install them? Would it be easier (better) to just install speakers in the rear (in the trunk) and leave the rear door speakers alone? I read that the Saturn speakers have 3 screws and aftermarket requires 4 and replacing them wth aftermarket would mess up the watertight seal. Any comments or suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

I just got a four speaker upgrade with alpine type rs. the front doors are 6.5 inches and the rear are about 5 1/4 inches and are a huge pain to get out, mine had to be cut out. be careful if u are going to get component speakers because the door tweeter are super small and hide the screw for the door panel and u will probably have to cut a new hole some where to fit them in. since these saturns arent known for their sound quality, i suggest that you either do rear deck speakers, like im about to do, or get cheap new speakers for your doors and a subwoofer or two. my car has almost no bass even with the alpine type rs. i hope this can help you out

Either blown speakers or blown amp in the radio. You will need to gain access to one of the non working speakers and test with an ohm meter. An local car audio shop can do this for you for a minimal fee as well as assist with repair/replacement.

Well you can look at your car manual or look on the speakers for how much wattage it uses. If not go to a mechanic and ask for help. Hope this helps!?

Have you take the door panel off to see if the speaker wires are still connected to the speaker? If the speaker is blown you can buy replacement speakers, but you have to know what size and how deep and then you can replace them yourself.

The speaker should be removed from the trunk. You shouldn't have to remove it from the back seat. There is probably just a couple of clips or screws that hold them in

I just replaced my blown sub in my Avalon xls with a Kicker 07C84 and it works great. For the same price of a repair kit, you can just buy this new speaker. Why go through the hassle of repairing a 9 year old speaker. This speaker fits into the same cutout of the old speaker. All I did was splice the red and black wires within the factory plastic housing so I could still use the factory connector.
