Did it ever over heat The intake manifolds on chevys can't take heat.
Cheak your antifreeze for oil in it look at your dip stick look for white fome.
If you see eighter of these condutions you need to fix the intake manifold fast or the engine will be shot.
It could be a valve problem to how many miles are on it .But check the oil and antifreeze
as a good measure you should engage the 4x4 at least once a month and drive it 5 to 10 miles down the road to keep it in good working condition the automatic lockin hubs may need cleaning as they will become rusted or dirt build up can cause this problem it is farley normal for this to be a problem hope this helps
I know it is federal law that the body be covered under warranty for rust for a period of five years. This may extend to the rims as well. Contact your states consumer authority or the FTC to find out more about the rust warranty. Information about the rust warranty can also be found in the vehicle owners manual.
Have the DTC read and take it from there. But i bet you have a cylinder misfiring. Once you get the DTC read it will lead you to the problem and you can tackle the job from there. It usually is a pretty easy fix.
not a bad life then that you have had from these parts ,the rust on pipes ?? should have painted them years ago ,the brake disks ,depends on how you drive ,if like an old grandad like myself --forever --if like a boy racer then maybe two years or as little as 20,000 miles
