This one is a big pain in the ****. I would have a shop do it honestly.

It requires taking the whole front of the truck apart if I remember correctly...

The water pump can also make the chirping noise. You can place a very long screwdriver or metal rod against the pump & place your ear to the end of it to localize the sound. A stethoscope is very helpful, if possible.

I have a 2005 nissan maxima, while i was driving it died on me. Then a loud knocking noise from a rod started, now the car will barely run. How much to fix it?

to machine the crank and get another rod --set of big end and mains-- probably a rebore-- pistons --rings --labour Time off road- It will be cheaper to fit a reconditioned short motor so check around for one from an accredited engine remanufacturer.

I have a 2004 civic making loud rattling noise when i start it or step on gas

that would be your connecting rods or valves rattling if its your valves they just need more oil or adjusting and if its your connecting rods its a spun crank bearing and need for the crank to be replaced along with that one rod and all bearings in the lower part of your engine

I have a 1976 cadillac deville and I hsve a loud clicking rotating noise coming from underneath the car. When I do around 45 I can feel vibration from the same area. I just put new ilder arm, center link,...

tmac2scorpi, The inner tie rods will not make any noise whatsoever. What you need to check is the axle shafts coming out of the transaxle. You can do this by having someone walk along the vehicle as you make extreme right and left turns. You may hear the clicking noise that you mentioned here. Right now you state that you hear the noise at certain speeds so it may be hard to hear it when you are going slower with someone walking with the vehicle. If the noise is there then the axle shaft on that side of the vehicle will have to be replaced. Good luck with this.

I hear a loud knocking noise coming from the engine

You have a connecting rod bearing out, and your engine is about to blow. You need to either find another car, or look at getting a different engine, or rebuilding the engine you have.

2004 alero making loud screaching noise by tire brakes are fine

It's the belts. Quick fix is spray some kind of silicone lubricant on them, like tire shine. You should really replace the belt or belts that are making noise, also check the belts tension. Too loose and they'll make noise

1997 oldsmobile cutlass supreme knocking noise & problems acceler

That could be only two things one a bad pistion or a bad rod. I would take the engine apart and find one or both maybe broken or in bad repair fixing. I would not drive it far it will throw the pistion or rod right through the engine costing ya more money or a new car.
