Question about 1989 Nissan Sentra 4 Door
Its fine untill the gas pedal gets to a certian point then the car sputters. does this through all the gears.
If it is consistently the same spot when the car begins to act up i would bet your Throttle Positioning Sensor is at fault. When they go bad they get "holes" in them and then your computer cannot control the air/fuel mixture properly. They are not incredibly expensive ($35 from rockauto.com) and are usually easy to change.
