You need to check for intake vacuum leaks. Also did you have the battery disconnected before repair, if not disconnect the neg cable for 10 minutes to reset system to base settings.
High idle speed is usually caused by a sticking idle air control valve or a vac leak. The computer controls idle speed by how much air is allowed into the intake manifold. is the check engine light on ?
TRY Cleaning your throttle body. if it gets gummed up the minimum airflow rate is affected and will idle low. also might wanna try cleaning the iac valve.
I'd pull the "idle air control valve " (located on side of throttle body near front) off, and use some throttle body spray cleaner on it & the port it came out of. Spray pintle (pointed part) good to remove any gunk etc. Re-install, it & try it. if it cures your problem for a while & starts to act up again, replace it.
well. your idle is just high. you can get a screw driver and find the idle screw on the throttle body. . and jsut adjust there , , that is if there are no problems.
now it also maybe a leaky intake. . . . but i think its jsut more of a small adjsutment. . 8)
