The car has 117000 miles on it and it just started doin it
The oil is probably too light for it at this stage; add an oil additive to it and see if it improves. the additive I'm talking about is commonly known as "honey" and we use it to thicken the mix when the bearings get worn and the oil pump gets weak. if it improves the situation, then your future oil changes have to use thicker oil or start thinking about replacing main and rod bearings as they are the usual suspects when oil pressure drops. I could be wrong and it's just a sensor, but that is very rarely the case. if the sensor shows signs of seepage, replace it and see.
Did you reset oil change light.any codes.

Hello! This indicates a fault with the wheel speed sensor/ABS sensor. Any major auto parts retailer can pull the details of this code (which sensor) for free, which will help you identify if the wiring is loose or damaged or if the sensor will need to be replaced. If you need to replace the sensor - you will need to replace the entire wheel bearing assembly, as the sensor is internal.
Thanks for using FixYa!
SOURCE: My low oil level light comes on
on my 2000 gtp my low oil dummy light was on due to the wires being cut from the oil pressure sending unit....like an 02 sensor type style plug hanging out of the oil pan....sending unit could be bad also....
