1.9 dti cranks but wont start

Do you have spark to plugs? Correct fuel pressure? Injector pulse? Compression?

Check coil and module in distributor.

check the fuel pump fuse and then the fuel solonoid for power and if power is pressent then check if solonoid is working if all is good then just crack each of the 17 mm nuts on ijector pipes to injectors and when fuel starts to bleed through then tighten

Did you check fuel pressure at the injectors with a gauge before and after replacing the pump ?

anytime you change the filter in a diesel you have to bleed the air out of the fuel system. The pump won't auto bleed the fuel system for you. every place in the fuel system that has a flare type connection needs to be bleed, start at the connection closest to the tank, loosen the connection and then crank the engine until you see diesel fuel drips from that connection. Tighten the connection while the engine is still cranking. Move to the next connection that is going toward the engine. Continue on in that manner toward the engine until you reach the injector pump/injector. Once you reach the injector pump be VERY aware that the fuel is at VERY high pressure. Do NOT put your body parts in the stream of high pressure diesel fuel. It could kill or injure you! Once you bleed all the way to the injector pump/ injector, the truck SHOULD start. Do not bleed after the injector pump because of the pressure involved, it is WAY too dangerous.

Try changing out the crank position sensor if this sensor is bad it doesnt send the signal to the computer telling it you are trying to start the engine and the computer controls fuel flow at the injectors if it doesnt recieve this signal from the crank position sensor you will never get it started good luck and let me know if this fixed your problem thanks.

the probem is probably in the injector assembly whichis under the intake plenum.after removing it you will se the plastic tubes and ijector popit valves unlike actual individual injectors.this whole contraption must be replaced as an assembly.you can get repair manuals from this site or go to you library.it may actually be flooding as these had problems with leaking fuel pressure regulators which i think are also only part of the whole assembly.

The crank sensor is what pulses the ijectors,and makes the spark,so I would start at the crank sensor.Let me know how you come out.Check for any blown fuses also.Ecm fuse would cause this,but it may be called anything ,so check all fuses.

You can get the wiring diagram at www.alldatadiy.com and it will have all the codes and will have the information to test before you order the parts, also have you replaced the fuel pump? fuel sock? it also has two pumps a primary and the secondary check for fuel rail pressure, to test injector remove injector wire and test with digital ohm meter test the power post of the injector to ground. if it read 5 ohms or less it is ok. Have you checked the glow pulgs and glow plug timer is it stuck on removing power from injectors, need more information to give you a better answer.
