After replace or disconnected battery E.C.U (Engine Control Unit) need reeducation.

Maybe it will be helpful.

11. Start engine, check any fuel leakage and if the engine idling speed is not stable due to reset of the learning value, perform the following processes.
a. Warm up engine until the coolant temperature becomes more than 85 degrees Celsius.
b. Turn the IG key in the “Lock (OFF)” position.
c. Wait 10 seconds then start engine again and keep idling for 10 minutes in the conditions of A/Tshift in the P-position, the blower fan is off and the engine coolant temperature is more than 83 degrees Celsius.
d. Once stop engine and restart it and keep idling for 10 minutes in the conditions of A/T shift in the P-position, the blower fan is on in the high position, A/C is on at max cool position, all the windows are open and the engine coolant temperature is more than 83 degrees Celsius.
e. Repeat the process “d” again.
[Notes]
- If the ambient temperature is more than 20 degrees Celsius and the A/C compressor is
working all the time during the process “d”, the process “e” can be skipped.
- If the engine stalls at the changing timing between the lean mode to the stoichiometric
mode, clean up the throttle valve area and perform the above full processes.

Check all the vacuum lines to make sure they have no holes or damage or have come off especially the one behind the throttle body

Check/clean the MAP sensor and throttle position sensor. This should fix the issue. Its a common problem with Chrysler products.

if it acts like you turned the key off where the motor just shuts off without missing and sputturing i would for sure look at changing crankshaft sensor or may be a camshaft sensor if it has one. once sensor looses track of timing computer will shut down motor.

My car keeps cutting out when i slow down for junctions or traffic lights Bought new starter motor and battery new lambardi sensor. Hasn't made any difference to problem

hi fozzy, gave me a chuckle......lambardi sensor...its a lambda probe.....or O2 sensor to us mortals.....because it happens when you brake to slow down, look for an air leak from the manifold to the brake vacuum can......

Erratic idoling when warm

sounds like the air idle valve , if you can get hold of valve to test, try this find valve on inlet manifold and pull hose off going to throttle body, reconect hose to new valve so valves are i line to each other, start car and let it idle for a few moments till the fast idle slows down, then disconnect the wirering goint to the original aiv and connect to the new one , hopefully the original one would have been diconnected in the open position , reconnect wirering to the new valve and turn engine off. disconnect battery for 20 seconds . recon battery and turn ignition on, pump gas pedel 5 times to reset . start engine and let it idle for a few moments ,then try to turn steering wheel , engine speed should rise slightly due to load from power steering pump and then settle back down 875 1075 rpm.this is what the air idle valve should do. if it doesen't look at wiring goig to aiv might have scuffed through.

Engine cutting out when idling or slowing down

Here is the common cause of surges, stalls at stops, slow idle speed, erratic idle speed, rough idle and engine hesitation (and other problems), it is in most cases the idle speed control air-bypass valve and or throttle valve and upper intake, these area's get full of gunk and combustion residue over the miles and cause idle issues (stalls, low idle) like yours, Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake

Idle Problem when you slow down of come to a stop idle goes low

THis has happened to me in the past. My fix was to clean the throttle body. The problem began after my battery died. The computer was defaulted back to its original settings after replacing the battery. Once I cleaned the throttle body, everything was fine. This happened at about 85,000 miles.
