Check headlight and high beam switch for power in, power out. If power there, change whichever switch isn't working (remember dimmer switch gets power from headlamp switch) If no power going to headlamp switch check main fuses and fusable links for problems.

Headlights will not work, it does have daytime running lights 2002 chevy impala

Did you do a good visual inspection of the headlight area for anything obvious? Perhaps the crash jacked up your wiring. If you had to jimmy the switch to get high beams to work, that tells me the switch could be the problem. Take a look at a wiring diagram and do some basic troubleshooting if you have a multimeter. Here is a link with a couple of diagrams and suggestions that were given to another person with this problem.

Hello, I'm having an issue with my headlight. For almost a year now I do not have a dim (low) headlight on my passenger side of my 2002 Chevy Impala. My Impala has over 140,000 miles and a 3.4 Engine

If the relay were the problem both sides wouldn't work . Do you know how to do automotive electrical testing ? How to read a wiring diagram ? You can view wiring diagrams here Enter your vehicle info. year , make , model , engine size . Then under system click on lighting , then subsystem click headlamps . Click on the search button , then on the blue links one at a time . At the top of the first diagram you will see the fuse's for low an high beams . The fuse's send B+ voltage directly to the high an low beams , from there B+ voltage goes on to the dimmer switch shown on the next diagram .Low beam headlamps from the dimmer swich goes through the headlamp relay when energized by the BCM . When the relay is energized that compleats the circuit to ground at G- 201 . So you see if one side is working it can't be the relay . Doing electrical testing , voltage drop testing is the way to find the problem .

96 chevy silverado, taillights just stopped working... nothing to cause this effect. they worked the night before. they just stopped. b/u brake hazards and turn signals all work. checked all fuses in the...

The turn signal switch in the steering column has a short in some models. Have someone watch your brake lights and move the 4 way flasher on top of the column from left to right without deploying the switch for the 4 ways. If your brake lights flash ,the harness needs to be replaced if they are still available. Harness around 300.00 plus labor.

2002 impala signal lights and hazard lights not working

The turn signal flasher and hazard flasher are both incorporated into the hazard switch on the dashboard (yeah, they saw the money possibilities there). This is a common problem with the Impalas. Sometimes slowly pressing and releasing the hazard switch a few times will correct the problem. I have been told by some that if you get electrical contact cleaner and spray it into the hazard switch it helps also, Apparently dirt gets in and does the damage. Replacement of this hazard switch will fix this if nothing else works.

My 2003 chevy impala turn signals won't blink. the lights come on but won't blink. I have checked the fuse. it looked fine.

Your problem is your blinker or flasher, it is located under dash, behind the instrument panel right above the steering column. Cost is no more than $10.

The Signal Flasher is on the back side of the Fuse Panel. To access it, remove the driver side lower dash.

I've 02 Chevy Impala and the turn signal won't work. It flashes somewhat but not consistent. How should I repair this problem?

Just press the hazard warning switch off and on and it will restore the blinkers. I don't know why this works, but it has saved me from the overzealous dealer service people who want to replace the entire steering column.
