Question about 2003 GMC Yukon XL

I have a 1993 Dodge Shadow ES 2.5 liter 4cyl.My problem is this. I can start it up and drive down the road with light pressure on the accelerator,but when I floor it,it bogs down and barely accelerates.If I let off the acceleraotor again it runs smoothly.What could the problem possibly be?TY in advance.

    First of all, are you getting any trouble codes? (check engine light)

Check the distributor cap/wiring/plugs. Also can be fuel line problem (injectors, filter, pump) or O2 sensor

Sounds like you have to much air ciming into the throttlebody. chech all vacume hoses and the main air intake to the throttle body. I hopwe this helps.

93 dodge shadow driving along 45-50 mpg, starts to sputter, fuel


did they change the fuel filter at the same time?a bad filter will cause the fuel pump to overwork and can cause premature failure.you may also have a fuel pump relay going bad,it is probably located in a fuse/relay box under the hood.

need to change the pick up coil in the distributor it has i belive its a plug in with 2 wires black and white.i had the some problem the car would run for a few miles then would just turn off when hot then would start up the part ran me about 20 bucks
