Question about 1997 GMC Safari
My 97 safari died on me last night and now it wont start, but it cranks very well and the battery is fully charged
Check spark to #4 cyl if it is almost constant bad cap and button by gm parts clean ground to chassis connection . The #2,3,5 arc to # 4 due to cap design check with timing light 1 and 6 are direct feed in cap . Hope this helps .

CHECK TO SEE IF YOU ARE GETTING SPARK TO ONE OF THE PLUG WIRES .I USE ANOTHER PLUG IN IT AND LAY IT ON THE ENGINE TO GET GOOD GROUND.DON'T TOUCH IT WHILE TURNING THE ENGINE OVER MAY SHOCK YOU. THE CRANK SENSOR DOWN BY THE BALANCER MAY BE BAD IF THERE IS NO SPARK AT THE PLUG.CHECK ENGINE LIGHT SHOULD TELL YOU A CODE FOR THIS.
