Left side lights Dim and windshield wipers operate

I have an Acura Integra gs coupe '99. When I turn the first switch on everything works fine (the parking lights) but when I turn it to the second switch which is the full lights headlights, the whole left side of my headlights are dimmer than the right and the windshield wipers turn on and wont turn off. It just recently happened because last week all my headlights were working fine with no problem. I noticed this problem two days after I pressure washed my engine. Could that might of caused the problem??

Hi,

My acura integra has the exact same problem. My windsheild wiper turns on when I put on the lights and my left blinker flashes constantly. Is there any solution to this?

Hello ilandskater2,
It sounds like you may have caused a plug for the lights to come undone or you lost the ground to one side of the car. Some newer vehicles use a reverse type ground system with small computer controlled relays in the system. It sounds like you are getting a reverse feed on the power system under the hood. look at all the plugs and check to see if they are completely pluugged in and check the fuse block to see if any are blown causing the feed back. Check all the grounding points under the hood also. Hope this helps. Regards, rcampsr

Hello deezeesmeyo
Check fuse# 42 a 20amp fuse in the fuse block located under the hood on the right side of the engine compartment. If the fuse is ok, check the stoplight switch located under the left side of the
dash on the brake peddle bracket. Hope this is helpful.

How do I disable the ABS light on my 1996 Acura Integra?

Take out the dash bezel, then the guage cluster. The ABS light plugs into the back of the cluster. uplug it and let it hang or put a piece of electrical tape over the face and trim it to fit exactly. Plug it back in and put everything back in in reverse order.

There are 2 philips head screws on the top side of the inside of the bezel and the guage cluster has 4 10mm bolts holding them in.

Rear windshield wiper problem on 99 Expedition.

2 ways of dealing with this. Install a new motor or put up with it until you install a new motor. I usually give it a very light tap with a hammer or a wrench & they start working fine at least for a while

1995 RS Drivers WIndow does not function

use a test light , remove the door panel , unplug the wires going into the regulator motor . . check the the plug with the switch to see if you are getting power and ground .if you do , than it will be the motor. Before you do that , check all fuses , some have a fuse for the left side , and one for the right side windows .
