Question about 1994 Mercury Grand Marquis
I own a 1994 grand marquis and when i turn it on shakes just like i haven't done a tune up but i just did, then when i press the pedal the car gets heavy and won't run smooth and takes time to increase velocity also it stays on 60miles, not more
You should remove carbon build up in the EGR valve (rear of engine by firewall.) Do yourself a favor and buy a new EGR gasket before attempting project. Stuff rags into the opening to engine use a screw driver as a scaper and use liberal amounts of carb cleaner spray to remove the build up. You may have to clean and or replace the EGR sensor, try carb cleaner on it and shake out residue and let dry first. This build up can happen every 50-75k miles.
