You can't test it & surely don't want to
replace it on a wish & hope theory that will
solve some vehicle problem
They don't fail often, so have a repair shop diagnose
the real issues
It's sticking out of the top of fire wall toward the passengers side of the vehicle, you should see a mass of wires sticking out facing you
