When you say computer you have to define what your refering to

The main PCM I looked into with google & are ten different answers
ays well as pictures

There are other modules so I suggest you use google when
you know what one your looking for

Why the qusetion?

You can't test it & surely don't want to
replace it on a wish & hope theory that will
solve some vehicle problem

They don't fail often, so have a repair shop diagnose
the real issues

It's sticking out of the top of fire wall toward the passengers side of the vehicle, you should see a mass of wires sticking out facing you

Ford 98 explorer computer malfunction

Your ECM is reading that everything is ok. The light will stay on when the problem becomes constant. You can have the codes read safely while the motor is running.

O/d light flashing on 1995 Ford explorer. Started

You should have the computer self tested by someone with a scan tool. The flashing overdrive light indicates a concern with the transmission. Self testing the computer should produce a fault code and give you some idea of what is wrong.

1995 FORD EXPLORER

Yes, Fords have PATS system, which is what controlls your keyless entry. It is the computer for your key fobs and keyless entry. You might have tripped itby accident, and your only solution is to take it to a dealership or someone who has Fords reprogrammimg computer to have it reflashed.
