Question about 2000 Pontiac Grand Am GT

My 2000 grand am has no therostat. car is running hot.

Not sure what you are asking, so I'll take a guess. If you are wondering why it is running hot, it is because, with no t'stat, the water is moving too fast through the radiator and does not have enough time to cool it. The t'stat provides enough restriction to the flow to slow it down and have enough time in the radiator to cool. I had same problem with one of my 1/4 mile drag cars back in the 70's. Put in t'stat and it went away.

Hi , Probably Not . Check the thermostat bulb position, and the coolant flow with the radiator . Check the oil pressure , flow and consistance ( viscosity an d cleanning) Good Luck

We have replaced the water pump, therostat and temp sencer, still pushes red line when stopped in traffic

the problem could be that your fans are not coming on you need to check if they are, if they are not you will need to find out why....cheers

How do i change the thermostat in my 96 blazer?

take bracket off throd body then take therostat housen off to change therostat then put back together fill with coolent run with cap off it water goes down then fill on up put cap on drive and watch gage make shur it dont run hot

Suzuki Grand Vitara 2008 head gasket

I dont think you have an head gasket problem.Check that your therostat is working.Try running the engine without it.Or replace it.I would like to now a little moore about this problem,You dont give enough detail on it.
