Question about 2000 Pontiac Grand Am GT
Not sure what you are asking, so I'll take a guess. If you are wondering why it is running hot, it is because, with no t'stat, the water is moving too fast through the radiator and does not have enough time to cool it. The t'stat provides enough restriction to the flow to slow it down and have enough time in the radiator to cool. I had same problem with one of my 1/4 mile drag cars back in the 70's. Put in t'stat and it went away.
