Sounds like a loose connection to your alternator, check the plug and harness from the battery to the alternator. also check for loose terminals inside the connector to the alternator, make sure the terminals arent warped and bend into shape as needed. check for chafed wires or any alternator wires that could be contacting a ground causing a short. hope this helps!

Suggest having the alternator checked. If that checks out good, then you have a short in the wiring. The only way to find the short is to check each wire seperately from the alternator to the battery. It will take time to do this, so be patient. Hope this helps.

Changed battery in my 07 toyota tundra. when I connected the new battery, the alarm goes off. cannot get vehicle to crank or turn offthe alarm

You have upset the anti-theft system.

Disconnect the battery. Put a household bulb across the battery terminals for 3 minutes. Hold the battery leads together for 3 minutes. Leave the battery off for 1 hour. Put your key in the ignition, but not on. Connect the negative lead of the battery. Connect the positive lead in one go, bang and on. Leave the car for 15minutes to reset. Start the car normally.

Number 1 tip from a mechanic friend of mine. Maintain the power to the vehicle when changing batteries by using 2 lengths of wire or jump leads.

2000 Chevy s 10 won't start. Makes clicking sound. Int lights, radio, headlights working. Tow driver said my battery was ok. Banged on starter, still clicked. Push started. no mech and female. Help

One thing to check is your battery post connections, or any damage to the cables themselves. Check that the ground wire from the battery is connected well to whatever it is bolted to. Even with a good battery a poor connection will do what you are describing. Clean them good and have them bolted on properly. If that is not it, then get the starter changed....banging on it is not always going to get it to work....I do suspect it is a current delivery problem or the starter itself.

Daewoo lanos has not had a battery in it for 12 months was running now has dash lights winds over but no pwer anywhere else and no fuel coming through

I just gone through this it could be a bad earth or engine stop relay mobilizer so you can sand relays and everything you can including battery take earth of battery for 20 seconds( negative) might start don't listen to sparky or he will put new pump scanner and everything you don't need think about it nothing has changed but time and corrosion and you might have to reset computer by 20 seconds negitive earth good luck. One thing i do know is when they were brought THIS CAR into this country they had a bye-pass anti theft device connected to computer if you lose or flatten battery to your key it will do all the above so you can buy this bypass device online and get sparky to install. It to the computer .And this will problem will be fixed for good hopefully .But i have fount no online memos about this as different teams added this device to your car for our lovely goverment

2004 buick rendezvous transmission hesitates from a stop and bangs int gear.

There are very high chances of your transmission fluid emptying out or being very low. you should get that checked. I went through something similar and by the time i took my car to the garage to get transmission oil changed my transmission system was badly damaged.

hope this helps. good luck.

Engine banging going over pot holes ive changed the wishbones and suspention struts and it still bangs

by bang do you mean bang into the ground? if so you may need new shocks and or springs.
if you mean it bangs inside the engine compartment then you may want to inspect the motor mounts / stabilizer.

Replaced starter on a 1991 Cadillac DeVille still won't start

Is this possible ? Banging on the starter surely jarred either the solenoidm the starter brushes or armature. I've done that a 1000 X with poitive results, and in the end overhauled or replaced the starter. Now you say this has been going on for 2 mos or so, could there NOW be SOMETHING ELSE ( new problem ) like the battery /starter connections, ignition switch, etc causing no power to the starter , Hoping all re-connections are good.
