Lay under the engine and look above the front sub-frame to you right. You can just see the bottom of the filter. When you take it off, go slow!!! Oil will drip down the filter, your arm, and all over the frame. I have the same vehicle and engine.

The oil filter is located under the vehicle usually on the engine block towards the front of the vehicle, sometimes they can be on the rear of the engine block as well. if you take a look under the car and look up into the engine bay you will find it! you need to jack the front end up and make sure you have the car on jackstands with the parking brake on. in case you didn't know, you also have to remove the drain plug and let the old oil out. drain plug is located on the oil pan. any other questions, just ask!

Sorry... you have a blown head gasket. it will still run good for a little while but coninuing to drive it without replacing the head gasket will really hurt the engine or blow it.

Just changed the oil pan gasket in my 1996 ford windstar and its still leaking oil and there is oil all over the passenger side of my van ,where else can this leak be?

You have a front and rear main seal, if either of these are leaking the oil will be coming from the center of the engine above the oil pan. There are 2 1 in front and 1 in back of the engine.

1996 windstar relay

The fuel pump power on the Windstar is controlled by a component called a Constant Control Relay Module (CCRM).

Can you tell me where my oil filter is located on my 96 buick roadmaster

From under the car, it's located on the passenger side of the motor.
It is straight up and down (well close, therre is a slight angle) towards the back of the block.

Poor acceleration 1996 ford windstar gl.

Hi

This sounds decidedly like a faulty or dirty MAF sensor, which is located right next to the air filter box.

Unplug the wiring plug to the MAF and if all or most of the power is restored then you either need to clean or renew the MAF sensor.
