A D4 and Check engine light is on, also Odometer is not working on 97 Acura CL 3.0. Could Speed sensor be bad?
D4 is Drive 4, no problem with trans at all, could Speed sensor be bad caused Check Engine light come on?(97 Acura CL 3.0)

My rpms increase and shifting is erratic. The D5 light flashes on the dashboard. No problems with the odometer, but the TCS light did come on one time. no, it's more than likely your thermostat not opening and closing when it is supposed to....you could also have low coolant which i would check if you haven't already
have u checked ur timing chain/belt? or even the crankshaft sensor? The crank sensor (if bad or broke) will cut out the spark to ur plugs. hope this helps
Either fit a manual gearbox or change the gearbox for a recon unit ,other than that trade it in on plan previa and get 2500E on it against a new car but this time buy a manual .You one has a clutch operating piston failed or a brake band worn out but what ?well without stripping the box who knows
There are many other things that cause the D4 to flash. The D4 light turning off is similar to the CEL turning on. Some codes
cause the light to blink, some turn it off. There's an error code
stored, pull it and start from there.
Definitely pull all the codes and let us know what you find. Once we
know what the codes are then we can help you troubleshoot the issue/s. Alot owners talk about VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) but the VSS may or may not be part of the issue but per your description it
may sound like a main relay to a tranny issue.
The ABS light can be on for different reason. sometimes a bad speed sensor on one of the wheels can trigger the ABS light. The ABS module, or the entire braking sytem may be faulty, to find out there is need to test the ECU/ABS modules usinga code reader, and to inspect the braking system.
