Sensors for radiator Fan ? What sensor ? The coolant temperature sensor is an input to the PCM - engine computer ! When the engine temperature reaches 200 degree's the PCM energizes 1 to 3 Cooling fan relay's in the battery junction box (fuse-relays ) The low speed fan relay , High speed fan control relay 1 , an high speed fan control relay 2 . Now what problem are you having ? Go on you tube an check out videos on testing cooling fan's , testing relay's .Before you replace a sensor you don't need too .
All those buttons normally are on the center concole. The heat/air knob turns to the red for heat, the more its turned in the red the hotter the heat blows. If your talking about the AC air, that should be on the knob that lets you chose the fan speed, just push it in to turn on the AC a light on the button may come on to let you know its been activated. the Rear Defrost is a single button, i think with 3 wavy lines top to bottom also in the center concole.

The first knob controls the temperature. Turning it counterclockwise will lower the temperature, clockwise will raise it. Pressing the button will turn on the circulate function (recirculates the air from the cabin). The second knob controls the fan speed. Counterclockwise will reduce the fan speed, clockwise will increase it. Pressing the button activates the A/C compressor (allows colder temperatures). The third knob controls the flow direction. Each picture indicates where the flow will go. Pressing the button activates the rear defoggers (in some models, it will also activate the heated side mirrors).
Your library may have the diagram. Does any speed work? If it runs on full, there is a resistor pack in the fan housing that can be changed. This unit may also have multiple fuses controlling it. Merc has a habit of building the most difficult cars in the world to trouble shoot. Good luck, sir.
