Where the frost plug on the 2000 honda Accor lx

Frost plugs are misnamed. The official name and purpose is core plugs. It is impossible to sandcast a complex casting like a cylinder block without an inner and an outer mould. The inner mould (or core) is supported by bars which leaves holes in the finished casting; holes that can be covered by a plate, a screwed plug or knock in deformable plugs or the more common steel dishes - core plugs!
Die cast blocks do not need core plugs as there is no core that needs support during the casting process.

I expect the Honda is little different from most engines in that there will be a core support (a hole) at each end of the cylinder block and two or more down one side of the block. Complex castings tend to need additional core support and a number of thinner sand bars may be used resulting in fairly randomly placed small plugs.

Cylinder heads are also sand casted from an outer mould and an inner core...

How do I change my sparkplugs on 2008 Fit?

Hi Anonymous. If your Honda Fit is the DSi engine type with 8 ( eight ) spark plugs, the only thing you do is as you do the replacement with the outer four spark plugs by loosing the 10mm bolts holding the coils, pulling the coils upwards and by using the 16mm spark plug socket loose the spark plugs and by using a magnet just pull out the old ones and refit the new ones. It is the same procedure you have to do for the inner side other 4 (four ) spark plugs, you just have to make a slight room to have access and using a shorter extension bar for the 16mm socket. Good luck.

Change spark plugs on 1998 Malibu V6 3.1

on the 3.1, it is easier to change back plugs if you remove the coil packs. so you can reach the plugs from the top of engine. it almost seems impossible but this will work. it will give more room to work.

I can't seem to get any of my tools into this small space to loosen the inner tie rod. i have many tools but it seems like i need to take my whole engine and transmission assembly just to get to it. any...

You need an inner tie rod tool. Looks like a pipe with a drive socket on one end, and a reciever on the other. Unbolt the outer tie rod from the knuckle, and loosen the lock nut on the rod

Either use a puller to remove the outer end, or hit the knuckle with a hammer, and remove the outer end from the knuckle. Unscrew the outer from the inner rod (break the lock nut loose before removing the outer from the knuckle, or you will not be able to loosen it)

Remove the bellows from the rack and inner rod.
Use a drift or punch and a hammer to push the lock plate off the inner rod end

Place the correct adapter over the inner rod end, slide the rod inside the tool, and lock the reciever end of the tool on to the adapter. place a ratchet on the drive end of the tool, and remove the rod.

Good luck.

I am replacing the the spark plugs and wires on my 92 corvette lt1 engine, but to change the wires seems impossible because they are under pulleys. any suggestions on how i should do it??? should i remove...

You don't have to pull the fenders off. The passenger side is fairly easy. On the Drivers side it is more of a challenge. First, remove the serpentine belt. Then remove the belt tensioner which is held on with one bolt. From here you can get to the wires on the drivers side of the opti spark. On the plug end you may need to remove a couple of bolts or the ASR mounts but if you work at it, you can fish them through. Don't do them one at a time under the Alternator. Put them in the clip and run them to the Opti-Spark. It is not fun but with patience you can get the plug end take care of without busting too many knuckles.

How too change inner tierod on 2005 pontiac g6

If you have electric steering(no power steering pump)you have to change the entire steering gear assembly as no part is available. If you have the system with a pump a part is available. In order to change the inner tie rod you would loosen the 21mm lock nut on the tie rod.remove the 18mm nut on the outer tie rod and spin off after removing the outer tie rod from the steering knuckle.Remove the nut and the inner and outer clamps on the tie rod boot.remove the boot. You would then need a special inner tie rod tool to turn the threaded inner rod from the steering gear.

Changing spark plugs and spark plug wires on a 4 cyl. 1998 Jetta

the only way to remove the wires is to take the intake off.Its not that hard mine has 250,000 on it and it comes apart fine. But you need some special sockets and then it would even out if you paid somebody capable to do it for you. the plugs can be changed I use a swivel socket and a extension. The distributor should be fine I assume you meant the cap and rotor, that is easy but the clips that hold it down can be tricky to but back on. If it looks too difficult or scares you dont do it.

1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee door seems to be locked but will not open from the outside no matter what. It will open from the inside but is a pain and would like the door to open from the outside.

Hi young_queen
A connecting spring or connecting small metal like arrangement synchronises the inner and outer lock to open . Each inner and outer lock would have one. The outer lock connector would have got weared out .Please change it
