In all honesty & after reading the previous posts, have you tried to lubricate the hinge(s)/latch/etc. at all? All in all, it really doesn't matter what you use to lubricate it with. I've found keeping parts, regardless of what it is, lubricated tends to keep whatever was lubed working like new. Maintaining a vehicle isn't just oil changes & such, it's using numerous products to keep the doors/hinges/mpg's/etc. going strong and lasting as long as it can.

i have not yet corrected the concern but have found the source. in this particular model the fuel door has a safety lock feature that keeps the door from opening when you are fill the fuel. I have found the lever broken on the switch now all i have to do is figure out how to replace it

My windstar was horrid for relays that needed to be replaced.... locate the relay(s) that control the power doors and replace them.

The door is not catching to lock the door shut. Find where it is not catching and see if theres a blockage or if something is broken.

the first o2 sensor is located just underneath the front bumper of the van, the second is located directly underneath the center of the van, kind of where the center console would be if you were inside the van. i hope that makes sense and i hope it helps.
