Injector sprays too much fuel after starting. Engine floods out

Suspect (potentially) either a stuck injector, or a failed/failing fuel pressure regulator. One sign of a failed fuel pressure regulator can be gas in the oil. (I suffered that side effect, along with bogging, and black smoke rich running, worsening as warmed up, turned out to be fuel pressure regulator). If the injector is loose in the throttle body, or has bad o-rings, can also cause some wonky behavior. Good luck.

My vehicle does not start well in the cold..

THERE ARE 2 TEMP SENSORS ONE IS FOR THE LIGHT OR GAUGE AND THE OTHER IS FOR THE ECM. IF THE ONE FOR THE ECM IS FAULTY IT CAN CAUSE HARD COLD STARTS

Why my nissan pick up doesn`t start when the motor is cold in the morning or when gets cold

is check engine light on this could be a coolant temp sensor issue it could be a fuel psi regulator problem or bad injector or cold start injector if your vehicle is equiped if a diesel bad injectors or injection pump the black smoke is raw fuel

Engine misses when cold only under load comes and goes for about 3 mins then all ok runs well after that

Sounds as though the problem is when in open loop

That is when it is cold & your temp sensor & computer
control fuel injector timing

As the temp goes up the O2 Sensors take over
injectors

I would guess the O2 Sensors are over 100,000 miles
You should clean MAF Sensor
Install Spark Plugs-if over 70,000 miles
Also new thermostat & possibly a new temp sensor

Under a load, that puts the EGR Valve into the picture
as vacuum is high

1989 mpv mazda does not start on cold mornings and days

I'm assuming the engine cranks with the starter but does not start and run.

check the operation of the cold start injector. This is a separate fuel injector that injects fuel into the intake manifold to help richen up the mixture for cold starts. It operates on a timer that is linked to a sensor that measures engine coolant temperature. Once warm or the timer runs out, the cold start injector is turned off. Other things to check:

Fuel pressure too high (floods engine through cold start injector), engine coolant temp sensor or intake air temp sensor is stuck at full hot (doesn't allow enough fuel for cold starts), fuel injectors are leaking (floods engine with fuel).

Hard starts in the morning even though replaced most parts

Check the power to the cold start injector. (it's only going to have fire for a few sec. after the key is turned on). If the fire is good, replace the cold start injector. This injector is activated for a few seconds when the engen temp is low to add a little fuel lower down in the intake and closer to the pistons.

Replaced map sensor and mass sensor unit, continues to stall

it sounds like it is starved for fuel. you could have a bad fuel pump or your injectors are dirty (add a can of injector cleaner to fuel tank), or your uel gauge sending unit is sticking above empty even though the tank is empty.
Check for @ 40 psi of pressure at the fuel rail. There should be a shrader valve to connect a pressure gauge. If it is low, the pump is in the fuel tank Hvae to drop the tank to replace.

How does it run when cold? If better, a sign of a failing pump.
