I have 2 fans on my honda accord one works the other doesn't so far I have had no problem with it over heating

My Honda gets very hot too only one fan seems to work and sometimes blows coolant back into the overflow resevoir. Could it be the waterpump, temp sensor, or head gasket. Still getting lots of heat in the car so I dont think it is airlocked any ideas . Thanks

Did you try venting the system, sometimes air can cause that, or make sure you are getting flow through the system for example it could be the thermostat that is stuck shut or it could be the radiator is clogged, or maybe there is not enough coolent. another problem maybe your temp sensor is bad...

Bailey19@i hav a 1991 h-accord ex. I have two fans. once i turn the engine off. one of the fans starts running until i disconnect the battery cable.

It actually supposed to work like this. It should turn off in a couple of minutes. Give it a try. Wait for like 10 min to see if it will stop.

Sounds like the pgmfi relay is going out. This is a common problem with these cars. They get hot and dont want to work, they cool off and everything is ok.

My 1997 Honda Accord 4cyl. condenser fan began to run continuously (even after engine was shut off) after cycling the A/C temp. selector from hot to cold. I disconnect the condenser fan to avoid draining...

Sounds like the AC relay/switch is sticking on sometimes. Locate and swap this relay. Look at your fuse box lids for location or search online for the exact location. You also might have a leak in the ac lines or the AC condenser clutch is not engaging to kick the ac on. You should feel a slight power loss or hear a slight stutter in the engine when pressing your AC switch. This means everything kicked on. It's a millisecond before the ECU realizes this and kicks up the idle to compensate.

1996 Honda Accord fan contiunes to ran after the car is shut off

YOUR ENGINE IS RUNNING HOT.IF FAN KEEP RUNNING WHEN ENGINE IS OFF.CHECK COOLANT MAKE SURE ITS NOT LOW. REPLACE THE THERMOSTAT AND RADIATOR PRESSURE CAP.YOUR RADIATOR CORE COULD BE BLOCKED AND THE RESTRICTED GRILLE FULL OF BEBRIS AND THE.ENGINE BLOCK COOLANT PASSAGES COULD BE BLOCKED OR IGNITION TIMING COULD BE OFF.ALL THESE PROBLEMS CAN CAUSE YOUR ENGINE TO OVER HEAT.

1991 honda drivers side fan runs after engine shut off

If the engine is hot the electric fan will run until it is cool. As long as the engine isn't overheating and the fan doesn't run for more than 10 minutes or so it should be ok. If it has two radiator fans they should both be running though.
