You probably have a build up of "gunk" in the fuel pipe or injection system, the popping and stalling when accelarating could be tied to this (the valves probably gunked up) their is a kit wal-mart has that may help its a fuel injection (carb) cleaner the kit you can do at home and comes with directions or it can be done in the automotive garage.

I just bought a 95 isuzu trooper 3.2 sohc that, upon acceleration, starts to miss badly and although it goes faster, it sounds and feels like it's running on half power. It's like if you driv

If it seems to be running on all 6 cylinders at idle but not under a load, and you think the ignition system is good, the problem may be a fuel injector or low fuel pressure.
You could also have a weak coil that is killing two cylinders.

My 1990 isuzu trooper was driven to town when it started to heat up and miss a lot. No power on acceleration. Shop took compression test. # 1 piston 150 # 2 50 # 3-0- # 4.-0- I had the auto shop replace...

replacing the head gasket solved one problem.
But, you have a leakage problem with oil and/or antifreeze now.
The head gasket could be failing again, or you have a cracked block or cylinder head.

Take it back to where it was worked on and say that you want it fixed, please.

good luck on this.

92 isuzu trooper kills shortly after starting or doesn't start at all. full diagnostics was run and showed everything to be fine. However it still kills.

they will need to run a "diagnostic" while the problem is occurring. if not...of course everything checks ok

Engine Flutter in 95 Trooper

If it was mine I would get as much of the old fuel out of the tank as I could.(syphon or look at tank for a drain plug)Change the fuel filter.Fill it with fresh fuel.Add a bottle of (Red color) STP fuel treatment. This will help remove condensation form the tank. Also check the condition of the air filter and install a fresh set of spark plugs, properly gaped.
The octaine in you old gas gets weak. Its not good to let it sit for so long.
I hope this helps you.

95 Isuzu trooper heitates or rpms drop off after driving about 15 miles or so.If I shut off engine and restart it runs another 10-15 miles and drops off again.

I'm having similar problem with mine, and I think it's possible I got some bad gas. Maybe from an old backwoods gas station2.gifwith condensation in their tanks, or maybe condensation as mine hadbeen sitting for weeks at a time recently. I may try to completelydrain every bit of gas, and change the fuel filter, and throw some fueltreatment in when I put new gas in. Gonna check a few other thingsfirst, though.

I just recently put gas in my Isuzu trooper and it started missing like it had water in the gas, it never stoped missing after I ran the gas out of it. Then one day I was going home and it killed on the...

Have you considered that "like it had water in the gas" might be that there was water in the gas?
there is about a gallon or more of "reserve space" at the bottom of the tank below the fuel pickup. Water is heavier than gas and will lay in that space and cannot be removed by running out of gas. I suggest you remove the fuel filter carefully and empty it into a clear glass container and see if there is any water there. (it will be at the bottom) If you find any at all good bet there is much more where that came from!! (don't use dry gas...it can't handle large volumes of water. Drop tank and drain it!!
