The odometer on my 1996 Chevy Cavalier has stopped working.

Is this a computer issue or is there a sensor that I can replace?

As long as the speedometer is still working. Then the odometer is still working.its the display solder joints behind the dashboard. The speedometer cluster is very easy to take out.also if u can work a soldering gun u can fix it yourself.the factory solder joints get to hot and weak from the heat.u will know what i mean if u take the cluster out.all u have to do resolder the old joints mabee 6 of them.

3.3l. Where is the knock sensor located?

this isn't a simple repair job, the knock sensor must be replace, I would also make sure that this IS the knock sensor that is the issue here otherwise if you replace and clear the codes the same issue will appear again, sometimes the engine computer will throw a code that is correct but misinterpreted which I believe might be your case,If you have a knock sensor code on any Nissan (in my experience) replacing the knock sensor will not fix it. The knock sensor detects unwanted engine vibrations, such as miss fires. So if you have a knock sensor code first check your spark plugs, are they in proper condition? (if not replace them). Next quest vans are known for clogging fuel injectors so i would recommend running a can of sea foam injector cleaner.

Temp sensor 1 code replaced both sensors and still there? why would this happen

Year/make/model???? A temp sensor code does not necessarily mean a bad sensor. The code usually refers to a problem with the sensor and its data to the computer. It may be also be caused by a power/ground issue or signal return wire to computer issue and in some cases an internal computer failure

Code po108 on 2004 Malibu Maxx Lt

This code is for the MAP sensor. It sets when excessive voltage is sent from the MAP sensor to the computer. Most common correction is to replace map sensor, however, it could also be caused by a bad computer or wiring issue

Code p0340 replaced sensor still won't start

Code 340 usually means the engine computer is not getting a signal from the sensor in crank mode.
If you have replaced the sensor, the problem could be in the wiring or the object on the cam that the sensor reads.

P0135 code

The heater element in the sensor has failed. Very high chance that replacing the O2 sensor will fix this issue.

Rare, but the engine computer may not be sending a signal to heat the sensor or a wire can be damaged. but this is very rare. Try replacing the sensor first. Its very simple.

this code is showing you the computer knows the circuit is not complete for some reason.

There are three main causes for a Cavalier's digital odometer not functioning correctly: the fuse has blown, the odometer's wiring connector is loose, or the instrument cluster has gone bad.

I would change the TPS throttle position sensor and the Map/MAF are you sure its not the mass air flow?. I think your computer is fine it could be have a loose ground issues but computers dont go bad.
