I have a 1995 mitsi pajero(new zealand)2.8 turbo auto deisel...with IDENTICAL 'symptoms' ...it can be potentially very dangerous because , for example, when taking foot off accelerator to turn a corner, the engine will cut out which will of course, lock everything, including steering. The problem eased off over warmer summer weather but we are experiencing unusually cool February weather and the cutting -out problem is starting again. Any suggestions/advice/experience would be most gratefully appreciated..with kind regards from New Zealand

SOURCE: slow on starting , holds

turbo must have a problem or remember tro vehicles have turbo lag. . . usually mitsu's turbos start giving power around 2500prm - 3000rpm. .

but usually on older turbo diesel mitsus the turbos are the first to go. . . .

Anyone know the engine oil capacity for a 97 2.8 turbo diesel shogun thanks

Hi, your engine oil capacity for your 2.8 is 7.8 litres of oil including new filter, when you have done this start car and wait until oil light go's out this will indicate that the oil filter is full with oil, turn off engine and check oil level on dipstick again.
hope this helps you.

Steering problem

Your power steeringpump is already bad. Change it before it causes the rack to spoil or worst of all before it causes an accident.

Good luck and rate this fixya
