505 is idle air control motor circut. Check to make sure that control is clean and functioning correctly then trace back wiring to find problem if cleaning does not help. You can locate test values in nearly any half decent manuals.

I have 2001 5.3 it starts missing and popping back when it warms up i replaced fuel filter already what should i try next?

Sounds like a possible plugged exhaust. If not, possibly spark plug problem or coil problem.

While driving 2001 grand Jeep cherokee laredo it started sputtering and stopped as if out of gas( it was not) and the check engine light came on. I'm thinking fuel filter or pump?

When they sputter it is mostly the fuel pump. One way to check is hit the bottom of the tank in the center. The vibration will jar the pump and most times they will start pumping again. This is not a fix, you still have to replace the pump. This is just an easy way to make sure your changing the right part.

2001 Ford Windstar van seems to skip when you push

It may be due to plugs, fuel filter, fuel pump, or mass airflow sensor. Is your check engine light on?

A noise has started coming from under my glove box. thi stops when i press in the air circulaion button and immediately after letting go of the circulation button it stats again?? any ideas

Could be something like a leaf stuck in the air system. I would pull out the cabin filter( under the hood, near the windshield on the passenger side) with a phillips screwdriver removed screw and pull out black plastic housing...removed cabin filter, and look inside area for any debrie. You will see a fan inside. Replace that filter every 15,000 or every year.

My truck skips & rumbles when I press the gas pedal...I also hear a banging metal noise the harder I accelerate;especially going up hills...Please help

Is it throwing a code (is the check engine light on??) This is a hard one to diagnos without hearing and feeling the problem.

You might have some critical mechanical issues. If you care about your truck, I recommend not driving, or even starting the engine. Have it towed to a good, honest mechanic (dealer maybe??) and have them diagnose the problem. Sorry to say, but the worst case problem is not pretty.

Then again, it could just be pinging from bad gas...of which I would add two bottles of octane booster and some water-remover to the gas tank.

2001 Volvo S60 2.4T starting problem

This car won't start unless the gear is in the P position. Some times the sensor that tells the computer that the gear is in the P position doesn't make a good contact and the car won't start. Move the gear backwards and forwards until it makes a good contact and the car will start again.

Have you changed the fuel filter? I know it sounds weird but a plugged filter will make a truck use more gas. The computer tries to compensate for less fuel by commanding the injectors to open longer. Also a plugged filter will cause excess back pressure on the fuel pump making it loud.. Good Luck.
