Lot of work. There is a bolt in the glove box that you will have to remove. first open your glove box and squeeze the two sides to drop the box out. then on the left towards the radio there is a gold bold. I believe 10mm socket would fit. unbolt that and that should free up the front to allow you to get the rest out. That little light is a pain to get to. alot of bolts and screws for one light.

What could be causing my 02 Nissan Sentra to restrict revs then stall at highway speed?

Your first order of business is to check the oil level in the crankcase, and bring it up to full level. You can probably find a replacement dip stick, or go to a junkyard and get one. Without sufficient oil in the engine, The will seize. or prematurely die.
Is your check oil light coming on? Have the car scanned for trouble codes. Auto Zone and Advance Auto will a scan. Then you will be able to get info on the codes and what they identify. Just look the codes up on an internet search.

The light is located under the shift indicator on the left. The black component will pull up but wire for light is short so use caution and try to remove light socket with out fully removing indicator. Light bulb is a #194 or peanut bulb. Pull bulb to remove. Nissan Sentra shifter lamp replacement

Transmission shift indicator light on center console.
First
make sure the fuse is good.
If the fuse is good then remove the screws holding the center console cover. You will need a long and short phillip screwdriver. Look for screws in the cup holder, under the handbrake handle and where the console runs under the dash. You may have to move seats forward/backward to reach the screws. When you attempt to raise the console cover you will notice you overlook a screws. Remove them also. You may be able to reach the bulb without removing the gear shift handle. DO NOT TOUCH any other electronics you see. The AIRBAG ACTUATOR is located here also. Replace bulb. Test before reassembly. Good Saturday morning project.
