Have the vehicle checked for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes !

Disconnect the negative battery cable for 30 minutes. Reconnect after and the code will clear. However if the problem persists, the code will come back with in 20 miles or 30 minutes.

Was the oil changed?

Need a different mechanic

They never tested anything,
if you got codes

You must have put the wrong buld number in or installed it wrong and blew a fuse.

The engine control module (ECM) monitors several emission system sensors. One or more sensors is sending a signal that is not within the preset parameters set for that sensor. The ECM then turns on the check engine light and stores a code related to that sensor. The first step is to retreive any codes stored. A parts store like Autozone can do that for you. To the best of my knowledge there is no charge for this service.

THE VERY 1ST THING U NEED TO DO IS FIND OUT WHAT TROUBLE CODE WAS STORED WHEN THE CHECK ENG LIGHT CAME ON, THAT WILL BE THE KEY TO THE PING ISSUE.
