Door open light on the dashboard won't go out, checked all doors

Checked all doors and back doors. This keeps the cabin lights on even when I lock it up. Where is the fuse so I can pull it.

Tried this already, first thing I did. I just need to pull the fuse for the inside cabin lights.

I have the same problem. The door open light flashes on and off intermittently. My mechanic adjusted the rear cargo latch and it helped. Seems when it is loose, the light comes on. I also noticed that if the hatch is up (or in this case loose) the cabin light is on also. I came back from a day away in the mountains and found my interior light on, with all the doors locked. The loose hatch had been lifted by the wind and the light was on. Just a heads up, so you don't drain the battery. I keep the interior cabin lights switched off now.

Hi...the cab lights or high beams won't work on my 2007 freightliner columbia semi. How do I know if it's a short or a ground wire problem? If anyone can help me I would appreciate it so...

headlights on freight liners are set in fiberglass bonnets so the system needs return earth wires . Check for insulation failure at the bonnet hinges where the wiring loom comes back into the truck proper. If high beams are not working then neither will low beams if it is a wiring /earth problem. Having checked that out -check high beam relay and fuse for correct operation Check all the fuses for the cabin lights. Check that the cabin light switch is on ( does the cabin light come on when the door is opened)--blown bulbs)
Use a multimeter check for voltage at the light switch in and out to check light switch. Appreciating that you have to keep the wheels rolling it may be best to take it to a truck electrician as most trucks have common faults due to the manufacture and lay out of the wiring systems.

2001 mazda 626 battery drain

If the headlight switch is turned fully to one side, it will keep the interior light on. Some models have the feature in the overhead light, that allows for 3 positions to be set. Position one lights the dome light when the door is opened. Position two keeps the Domelight on regardless of the door. Position three is the always off setting.

If the problem is not in the headlight switch or the Domelight settings, then check your rear Cargo door. Some even have a separate switch to turn on the interior light from the Cargo area so you can see what you are unloading.

If you find that none of the above solutions work, then you must have a doorjam switch that has come apart inside the doorjam. These are a bit more difficult to find because each must be removed without losing the wiring in a hidden area. But start with the Drivers door as it gets the most wear.

He could try to unsnap the light lens and remove the bulb. If you have underdash or door lights it may provide at least some lighting and you could do without the Dome light.

Hi, that's a pretty big draw--should throw a spark when you pull the right fuse and put it back. Please see my tip at http://www.fixya.com/cars/r5925550-dead_battery_troubleshooting . These are genericinstructions. If you get stuck or need specific instructions for your car, please get back to me with model, year and engine info.

Dome light stays on/passenger lock switch blows fuse when unlocki

Let me guess? You cut the wires. You are supposed to disconnect all of them in the old door and pull them through. Then you remove door. Remove wires from donor door. Install donor door and pull the original UN-CUT wires through and re-connect.

Electrical Problem

you need to go to the dealer and have the body control module checked and replaced. The bdc mod controls everything pretty much inside cabin. The dealer can put it on the scanner and check. But with lock , windows , dash lights the body control module is bad. you have to get from the dealer because they have to program it for your jeep. and they are not that exspensive they go out all the time in jeeps.

Power windows, sunroof, interior lights not working. Fuse?

I just saw your posting. Yes, It could be a fuse, a 10amp interior light fuse BUT... I had to replace the Central Locking Control module which toasted first... I had the 3 open door, no working lights/windows situation too...

The problem seems to be in the main cabin light which has the 3 way rocker switch. Turn this off (depress the side on the driver side of the car (US)). Check the 10 amp fuse for the interior light. If it is burnt, you are OK if its not, you need to replace the Central Locking module. ~$200 US

I still have not replaced the cabin light module where I think a short is. If I replace the fuse in question, and turn the cabin light on, it "pulses" for a few minutes and then cooks the fuse.
