Question about 2002 Volkswagen GTI

94 toyota corolla brake light indicator wont go out

I have replaced the brakes and fluid. I am assuming its the emergency brake since there are times where it wont engage when I pull it up..the button doesn't catch..almost like its stuck but not..you push it in and it doesnt catch so when you pull the brake up it just drops back down. But this only happens occasionally. Is this why the light is on? It never goes out no matter what..even when the handle works properly.

When I start the car brake light on the dashboard is on.my foot is not on the brake pedal.the brake lights on the back of the car are not on.when I drive around the light is still on.

That break light usually means the parking break is on. Check to make sure that is released all the way. Even one click on will turn on the light.

Brake light will not go off

It's either a low level of fluid in the master cylinder reservoir under the hood, or the emergency brake is not adjusted, or the rear brakes are not adjusted tightly enough to give enough tension to the emergency brake in order for the light to 'go off.'

Hope this helps.

Location of the emergency rear brake switch n a

Hello. I assume that you want to know the location of the switch that activates the brake light on the dash when the park brake lever is pulled. It is under the rear of the park brake handle; you need to remove the console to see it.

However...if your brake light in your dash is staying ON, I would first suggest that you look at the level of brake fluid in the master cylinder reservoir. If it is low, the light will come on, also. The fluid level in the master cylinder drops proportionally as the brake wear. I would bet that your fluid is low; about an ounce of fluid decrease will light up the brake light.

My 2008 Corolla LE brake light is on but no brake problems

Usually when it is on, it is due to either low brake fluid, e-brake is not full disengaged, or abs pump or circuit is faulty.

Brake light on dash is on. What does it mean?

This Light Indicates 1 of 2 things, 1. Is the BRAKE FLUID Level is LOW, Or 2. That the Parking BRAKE is Applied. Check Fluid and Top Off If Needed, There is A LINE that Shows The PROPER Level.

04 Corolla "BRAKE" light on dash--comes on occasionally??

I wouldn't drive it... when your brake light comes on, it means there's a serious fault with your brakes. They may not engage when you brake and there won't be any further warning other than the brake light
