There should be 2 +12V supply wires. One is always on even when ignition is off. Another will be ON when the key id turned to ACC position. The radio fuse usually control the ACC supply. Check the function of the following items on the car.- Hazard switch. Horn. Brake lights. Rear lights. Room lights. If any of them them does not work replace the fuse and the radio supply will be available. It also shows that the supply for the radio is tapped from one of those circuits. If you know how to check with a test light. Check all fuses that should have supply even when ignition is off.
If all windows not working could be a fuse. I think there are several different fuse blocks on this model, including one in the trunk under carpet at front wall/ back of rear seat.
If all fuses are ok, check for voltage at driver's master switch (big red wire). The wire supplying voltage to the switch sometimes cracks and fails in the cable in the driver's door hinge area. While this can be a PITA to fix, carefully open this harness up and fix the break by reconnecting and soldering the broken wire.
look for a "small light" fuse in the fuse box under your hood.
You probably shorted something while installing the radio. If it continues to blow the fuse, you need to pull the radio out and check your wiring.
Check the radio fuse, The power window relay, and the accessory fuse, something shorted out the window circuit, if it keeps blowing fuses you will have to trace the harness for the short.
Sounds like a dead short. Disconnect the power to the radio and try the rear defog. Then to determine if it is the radio or the hater, disconnect the heater and put power to the radio. Another simple test is to, at night have the head lights on, turn the radio on see how much the lights dim. Then with the radio off, turn the rear defog on. Then try both. IF either one makes the head lights dim and not recover after a minute or so that devise is the shorted component. Check grounds on the radio and the heater.
Yes your horn/dome lights use the same fuse as well as there is numerous other circuits that feed off this fuse like radio illumination. If you unplug the new radio does the problem go away? Could be a short in radio which I have seen or maybe pinched a wire when installing radio
First, a 12 volt fuse is fine. It sounds like the window motor winding is shorting and pulling too much current, but not enough to blow the fuse. Unfortunately it sounds like the motor will need replacing. My guess is the radio was thumping becaue the window motor is robbing the radio of voltage/current.
make sure the back window is all the way up then try the wiper, if it still does not work then it is a sensor for the rear window (about $30.00) if you installed it yourself
do you mean you had a shortage? and the fuses are ok, but now the radio and the rear window will not let down?
