Your window is powered by a reverse polarity electric 12 volt motor. To raise, the polarity travels in one direction. To lower, it is reversed. Gain access to the motor by removing the door panel and locate two wire connection to the motor. Connect two leads to the motor that you know are one each, positive current and negative current Motor should run in one connected way and also run in the other connected way. If motor doesn't run, motor is bad..

Drivers window will go down but not up

It may be that it is not on the track properly or your power window motor is old and tierd and can take the window down but it doesn't have the juice in it any more to bring it back up. replace the motor and it will work. This problem happened to me in my '76 ford ltd and a new motor fixed it.

Power window control

So as not to be repetitive, for the failure of your power driver side window and rear window, review this handy diagnostic article, which identifies the possible causes, from a bad fuse, relay to window motor, etc.:
http://yourhandymanzone.com/Your_Handyman_Zone_How_To_Pages_Vehicle_Car_Zone_Cars_Trucks_Vans_Windshield_Windows_Window_Does_Not_Roll_Up_Down.htm

This should help narrow down your particular cause.

Driver side passenger window will not go down

I had the same problem with both the front and rear driver's side windows. The dealer diagnosed a shorted motor in the rear and replaced it under warranty. Unfortunately, they weren't able to replicate the problem on the front window. I still have intermittent problems with it, but rapidly cycling the button (up-down-up-down) gets it working again.
