My dodge stopped running. Replaced all sensors, coil even computer. But it still is running on 4 sylinders and not 6. The timing is good. Check engine light is on. They have had it on the machine. Everything looks good. The techs are stumped.
Re: Dodge caravan runs only on 4 cylinders and not 6
If you have not done it already I would run a compression test.Sometimes the head gasket can blow out and leak between cylinders, if the compression shows low on the none running cylinders and they are next to each other on same side it's a good bet that's your problem. If this is it be sure when repaired the metal surfaces on block and head are checked for channeling at the blowby point. If present and not repaired it will happen again.Good luck

If one of your ignition coils on the coil pack has gone out, that would affect two cylinders, and you would only have 4 cylinders still functioning. Those two cylinders would not have spark, well, actually a jolt of high voltage current, on the wires going to the spark plugs.
Four digit codes are brand specific. Code 2302 for a Chrysler product means the secondary circuit for the coil on cylinder one is at fault. If you have replaced the coil and plug wires, it could be a problem in the wiring harness between the coil and the engine computer.
i would check compression on that cylinder. you can rent the tool from some autopart stores. it just threads into the sparkplug hole and then crank the engine. check the guage and see if its within the same psi range as other cylinders.
