You make up seat back stops out of some type
of hard plastic to move the seat back forward

If you have no stops on each corner, then the seat
comes out, upholstory off & some TIG Welding takes
place to modify to your likeing

You could shim the rear mounting brackets
on the floor but that is sort of crude & the bottom
cushion will feel odd

I would guess the recliner mechanism is broken, best way is to change the seat or have it repaired it may cost more.

How do I fix the drivers seat in my 2001 Cobra? It leans to the right and will not sit up straight?

Sounds like it could be worn out foam, springs, or a bent seat bracket. I'd take it to a shop and get a free estimate. They'll be able to point you in the right direction.

Hi, i have a 1998 corolla. the recliner on the driver side no longer locks. when i lean back, the back rest automatically falls back. i removed the trim cover for the recliner handle and started removing...

The lock is likely stripped. This often happens when too much pressure is placed on the seat back and damages the ratchet mechanism.I would recommend replacing the seat frame

The seating surface of the driver's seat is extremely uncomfortable....seems that you are sitting directly on the motor controls for the seat. Can this be corrected?

If there actually is an issue, yes it can. You own a 2011, which will be under warranty. Take it to the dealer to get this checked out for free!

How do I put down back seat in Chrysler LeBaron

position the seat as you know it fits best - putting each bottom leg over the hole in the floor. Lean the seat forward like you wanted to just get to the back of it - like if you leaned a kitchen chair forward. Now be sure the bottom portion of the seat is down in the hole a little - one on each side and then simply lean the seat back to an upright position. If it doesn't slip in and click - try spraying WD 40 or better yet - get a can of white lithium grease and spray that into the holes. LOOK CLOSE and STUDY the bottom of the SEAT and the little holders in the FLOOR - it will come to you they simply sit and lock onto each other. To remove the seat -- at the bottom of the seat is a handle pull - some have one on each side. pull this.

You can do this I can assure you.

Thanks

Seat belt problem in Toyota Corolla 2001

There are supposed to be three locks. It is common for seats like this for the lock to fall to the back or under side of the seat. Try taking the bench cushion off and see if you can find it. Did you buy this car used? if so and you cant find the seat belt take it to them. It is supposed to be there

Driver side seat back is loose

Sounds like your latch is broken. You can replace the latch, it is spring loaded .Once you remove the trim around the latch and pull the seat cover up you can gain access to the bolts. You will need a torx bit ,I believe a t40 not sure. 13mm and 15mm socket.

99 4Runner heat blowing from console behind driver's seat

It sounds silly but there is a separate unit in your console that you can only turn off if you go in from back seats. You probably already did that, but if not try. You can not turn it off from any controls on front panel. If it doesn't work, I would think something is wrong with the switch. Open it up and look at wire connection from switch regulator. It also has a heat regulator on the console facing back seats? Mine does anyways.
