Question about 1993 Chevrolet C3500
I have a 1993 chevy 3500 p/u not a dually 5.7L auto trans. throttel body ,not fuel injected ,where is the #1 spot on the distributor cap , the coil for the system is offset ,this cap has a dividing mark on the top of the cap on the outside.
Hello the location of number one cylinder as long as the distributor has never been tampered with is going to be, As if you are standing at the front of the engine, it will be located at about 5:30. If it has ever been moved then you will need to pull #1 spark plug (driver side front). and put a screw driver in the plug hole at the same time have someone manually turn engine over( not with Key)
but by the crank shaft when you feel the(you must also beable to feel airbuilding up)on the compression stroke, piston all the way up remove distributor cap and look at the button direction. There you will know that is #1.
