First, what test exactly we're done to dtermine the alternator is healthy . Second, the wiring from the alternator needs testing . Third, OBD2 on a 2001 should have power train codes like P0302 . An alternator or charging issue can cause electrical interference and misfire .

this is a fuel supply problem start by checking for pressure at the injector rail if none you will have to check for power at the fuel pump conection at the tank power will only be present when key is in start position if you have power fuel pump is faulty if no power you will have to check the relay and fuel shutoff .there may also be a fuse in the system if blown you will have to dtermin why it failed before just replacing.

Random misfire means all cylinders are affected, so a shop may review the Freeze Frame and dtermine what is happeneing. I think all the air doors are electric on your truck, so the actuator may be the problem, but i would not guess as these sometimes are a real pain to replace.

Without a picture, it is hard to dtermine what is required or what you mean by the casing ?.....my suggestion is to go to an auto parts store and ask for their advice, they would be better suited than providing you a guess-timate of what partds i think you will need.....

This should be vac lines for 4.2L engine.

these were common for the blend air door breaking around the pivot side. They would break clean off and not allow the switch of cold air to hot air etc. This can easily be dtermined by having a technician scan the HVAC module and a code will be "blend door range too large" then you know for sure either the actuator motor, or the blend door is broken. Either way, its 10 hours labor, minimum, at a shop. Simply because the entire instrument panel (dash) has to be removed from the vehicle and lay across the front seat. Then you can find access to the heater box and remove it. Only then can you replace the necessary doors, and actuators. Its very labor intesive. Good luck with the repairs.

could be one of your o2 sensors ,coil pack on your spark plugs could be them,clogged catalytic convertor pretty hard to dtermine could be these.hook it up to scanner to make sure it should give you code

if you have coil packs check those.some times it seems like its the injectors,spark plugs but check coil packs they seem to do the trick its hard to dtermine wich one but try

The speed sensor on the transmission along with the throttle position sensor on the engine deliver the signals to the transmission computer dtermining shift timing, the throttle position sensor is probaly out of wack, there should be a stored trouble code however this transmission code can only be read by a transmission shop or the dealership, I guess you could change out the TPS sensor easy enough however this is merley an educated guess on my part to be sure have the computer checked for stored trouble codes.

tran should be ok need to take head to repair shap and be sure head is ok and not cracked. thermostat, radiator, or cap, hoses need to be checked to dtermine what caused it to run hot also check engine fan. Pls rate this solution
