Question about 1995 Chevrolet K1500

1 Answer

Vibration in reverse

When I put my 1995 Chevy 4X4 in reverse it has some severe vibrating, as well when it hits 70 km/h and around 100 km/h it vibrates a bit to. But not as much as it does in reverse. I thought it could be the four wheel drive trying to engage as it goes into reverse because im having troubles with my 4 wheel drive engaging as well. I dropped the front shaft out and that wasnt the cause of the vibration. Any clue what it could be?

How full are the front and rear differentials? They need to be checked for fluid periodically. Also, what shape is the u-joint(s) in? When you are driving, does the vibration seem to come after it has been driven a bit and warmed up?

At speed 100 km wheel steering start vibration

There are several reasons for this kind of vibration and it can be a combination of both.

First; Tires out of balance.

Second; Slipped belts in the tire itself causing it to become out of round.

Third; Struts or shocks leaking oil and a harmonic vibration starts at speed.

In every case above it is time to get the vehicle checked by knowledgeable techs asap as this will lead to more costly repairs and possible loss of control of the vehicle.

Vibration at 80-100k in a 4x4 Ford 350 diesel superduty

Sounds like you need to get your tyres balanced. If the vibration is when you don't touch the brakes only between the 80-100.
If its when you touch the brake pedal and the vibration occures, your disc brakes are warped, either machining or replacement.

I have a Mercedes Benz C220 1995 model for two years now. Recently when I drive fast like 100-120 km/h i feel a lot of vibration. I do not know why.

Vibration can be caused by many factors, wheel balance, worn tie rod ends, worn steering joints, get the car to a garage and have it inspected for any worn out parts and as well check the wheel balance first.

Vibration shudder at around 30km

Hey Pontiac,

There are two things, firstly get your front wheel rims put on a lathe machine to check for distortion, if not, then get the wheels balanced on a digital tyre balancer.
