2002 maxima check engine light came on

Hi we have a 2002 nissan maxima and the check engine light came on. We took it to auto zone to have it checked and they gave us code p1147 - definition - hos12 maximum voltage not met- probable cause
1 - open or short circuit conditon
2 - failed ho2s12
3 - failed injector or pressure regulator
Are any of these common and what should we check?

Thanks

First thing I would do is make sure you battery cables have a flawless connection. I had a Honda with a similar problem. I changed the battery cable and it all went away. Like magic. Sometimes these can be a simple fix.

How do I change a check engine light on nissan maxima 1998

Do you mean turn it off? You can't ignore the check engine light. go to Auto Zone and borrow a OBDII connect it under the dashboard with the ignition on, and write down the engine codes, and then seach on line about the description of those codes in order to fix it, after the repair has been done, erase it with the OBDII. I hope this help you.

My check engine light keeps going on

Hi. T\If your check engine light is coming on, then your engine is experiencing a fault condition. Take your car to a local auto parts store (i.e. Auto Zone, O'Briens, etc.). They can pull the cosed and let you know what is taking place with your car.

02 maxima battery wont stay charged. Took to auto zone to have battery and alternator checked and they say=its fine. purchased new battery and three days later it was dead/Altenator is charging at 12.9

that seems very, very low. almost what the battery voltage is supposed to be. actually i would say that's not charging and you need to replace the alternator. normal voltage output is 13.5-15 volts

My 2002 Nissan Maxima's

I have just had a similar problem with my Nissan Cefiro (Maxima)2000
The Fault light came on and it was the front cam sensor. The part cost $183NZ ($##@) and took a few minutes to replace. Fault light went out...all ok. The told me it was a timing problem too and maybe the chains needed changing ($2500NZ) for that.
Mine has the Variable Timing System (neo Engine) which is what yours may also have. I would be changing the sensor first as that is probably the problem. Mine has only done 44,000K's (ex Japan so always suspect) and with yours only 59000 I doubt there is anything wrong with the timing chain. Hope this helps
