SOURCE: need head bolt, intake upper and lower and rocker arm torque lbs.

Head bolts--------- 22 ft lbs.
Intake upper------ 18 ft lbs.
Intake lower------- 10 ft lbs. Tighten vertical bolts first, the diagonal bolts, failure to do this will result in an oil leak.
As far as the rocker arm bolts, they have to be adjusted with the valves closed, tighten down just enough to turn the push rods with your fingers with slight tension.
This is out of a Technical Specifications Manual.

How to remove intake manifold for 1997 pontiac grand prix

You have to remove anything that is connected and in the way of the intake. Remove the fuel rail, the EGR valve and supply pipe from the manifold, the map sensor, the vacuum for the fuel pressure regulator, the alternator and support bracket, the water pipes for the throttle body, and the bolts that hold it down.

Torque sequence --------- ' 6 2 3 7 ' ' 5 1 4 8 ' --------- Step 1: torque in sequence to 33 Ft/Lbs Step 2: turn an additional 90 degrees recheck final torque in sequence *** CAUTION ***engine uses Torque To Yield head bolts (TTY) that permanently stretch during the initial installation.New head bolts must be used when cylinder head is replaced or re-installed to obtain proper torque.Always coat bolt threads with the proper sealant.
