SOURCE: rear window stuck-Convertable

does the window try to move, meaning it is stuck in its track, or does the motor not try to move the window? If the latter then look at the rocker switch on your center console that controls the rear windows. I had to replace my switches to get my rear windows working.

Problem with 1999 Toyota Celica Converable: On my 99 celica my top goes down O.K. ,but when I go to put it up the back right side is lazy. I always have to go out and push it along while my wife holds...

I had similar issues with my '98 Celica. The 6th generation of Celicas are notorious for these problems.
First thing to do is check for obstructions. Look in the window storage space, the open space directly behind the passenger seat. That is where the top folds into and is to be used for that ONLY. If anything obstructs the top, the window can, and most likely will pop and break. If that is clear, then check to see if anything has become lodged between the area directly behind rear passenger window and the top. Many times the material from the storage area and/or loose material from the top can become lodged and needs to be removed or loosened and manually placed where it came from. Beings it is has has many years of wear, there is a variety of things that could have fallen behind there and/or caused the top to become unattached or extremely loose. (This issue can also be reason for troubles with the rear passenger windows ability to move up and down freely.)
You may need to put your hand down into the area and feel around, don't be afraid, just cautious when 'feeling around.' There is very little that can become damaged or unattached easily. If nothing is found, check your hydraulic reservoir as it works on a hydraulic system
If neither of those seem to resolve the issue. another possible reason is in the switch, on the console. In many cases, the switch, a rocker-arm type, gets a build up of a soot of sort, at the contact points. If you carefully remove the built up, contact in the switch can me restored. Be very CAREfull when taking the switch apart, as they are extremely hard to replace. I know this from experience. If you have concerns about doing this yourself, try to find an honest electrical repair shop that specializes in Toyotas. They usually know how to clean it, and there is usually no need to replace it. Good luck to you....

2007 ford mustang convertible wont work. Fuses are good, if I push the button the windows roll down and wont go back up.

probably the switches need replacing. converibles have the weathering problem, because they are subject to harsh climate conditions when top down driving.

My toyota celica 1995 convertible top motor quit working. I hope there is a fuse or something that I can replace?

I have a 97 Celica Convertible and multiple electrical issues. The convertible top doesn't work, Cruise doesn't work, door locks don't work, shift lock doesn't work, cooling fans don't work. Reffering to the 6cee312 gif Toyota Ed supplied, it looks like there may be something that is common to all these components? Where do I go first? Thanks! Mike

DRIVERS SIDE REAR WINDOW ROLLS DOWN WHEN 2006 DENALI IS STARTED. THEN WON' T ROLL BACK UP.

Got kids? VW electric convertible top - I found dried milk in the switch had same problem on turn on convertible opened and would not close, would have to use manaul bypass foldup. Pull window controller spray with a electrical cleaner then try it. If not dirty the switch is bad. May be in driver door switch or on rear door? Good luck.
