Thx I will try that. So far I have changed the ignition module, ignition switch, ignition key switch, checked coil which is fine, and looked for loose wires under the hood. I have checked all my fuses in my fuse box in the cab, they are fine. I have check the computer and its fine also. Plz if any can think of anything else for me to check it would be so helpful. Also I put the wrong year model on the truck its a 1987.

Cant get fire to distribitor on a 1988 ford ranger could coil cause it

Assuming old-style setup (not sure when coil packs became standard), your task is to check that:
1. Battery power is on one lead of coil.
2. Other lead from coil is connected to points in distributor
3. Points do indeed connect and disconnect when engine turns
4. Condenser is ok (not shorted)
Check points gap when fully open. Bridge points when open and check for spark when you open that bridge connection.

Could my distribitor be bad?

is there a dist first or a coil pack are all the plugs good and do they have spark on each when you say it fires on 2 cyls which ones and do you have a check engine on you can check the codes and it should help you but if you have a dist you also have a rotor as well by removing the cap you should see corrosion under where the rotor hits on as well you have a pickup coil but dont go so far check plugs first for ware then go from there wires, coils, etc

Lost fire from distribitor

96 1.6l ( there are 3 fuses. FI, COIL and dome) fix those first.

the coil is inside, did you check the output of the coil
for spark cap off dizzy? is that no spark.?
is the tachometer dead cranking.? if yes no tacho, then there
is no coil drive. from ECU.
the Dizzy is 100% controlled by the ECU.
the ECU has an OBD2 scan port above the right knee,
plug in any scan tool ($50 hand held)
crank motor over , see if RPM shows up, if not then CMP is dead.
read the scan tools DTC codes, is the ECU complaining of bad sensors. ( this is #2 after fuses) do not work on cars with no scan tool, this is a waste of time, and money.
no start or better no spark. if really true.
sometimes mech think there is no spark but the cam belt slipped
or the cam is not even spinning, dizzy rotor dead, dont turn.
or the coil really does have spark and dizzy timing is way off.
Dizzy clamp bolt, loose? bad spark wires, connected backwards.

98 nissan pathfinder 3.0 wont start new distribitor no fire

What do you mean "the battery still no fire"?

Do you mean that there is no spark at the spark plug?
Have you pulled out a plug, grounded it and cranked the engine to check to see what colour (if any) the spark is?
If there is no spark at the plug, then either change the plugs if they look to be in very poor condition, or change the coil.

1991 ford ranger 3.0 eec relay fuse keeps blowing fuel good no spark.Changed the distribitor, changed the ignition module.

I understand that there is a relay box under the hood with 3 relays. Which is which I don't know. However if you are blowing the fuse TO the ecc relay, then the relay must be bad. This relay controls the spark.

No spark at all!

you need to check the fuses again under the hood and under the dash if all are good look for a bad fuse link if you melted wires you had to blow fuses or fuse link
