Question about 1991 Mazda 323
1991 Mazda 323 carburetted. Accelerator sporadically stops responding, possible fuelling problem? Can happen when the engine is both hot and cold - i.e at the start of a short trip or end of a long trip, it can even go a few hours driving without the problem happening at all. I have taken the car into the mechanic and he said the carburetteor was dirty and gave it a new carb gasket set - he said it was dirty because I was not using an air filter. Since the repair I have been using a brand new air filter but the sporadic loss of acceleration still occurs. Any help? I'm stumped. Thank you
