Question about 2002 Dodge Stratus

Ac only blows on high

I have a 2003 Dodge Stratus and the AC and heat only blows on high. They work great but only on the high setting. What's the problem and can I fix it myself? Thanks

You have a bad blower resister which is located under the passenger side dash the part is about 20 dollars

Check the coolant level. If its low you wont get any heat. If its full then I would suspect that the temp. selector on the climate control is faulty. Farley easy to replace. Your local you pull parts yard will have one for $20-$35.

I have an 2002 Dodge Stratus, mileage is around 150,000. The vehicle is great, but recently the AC stopped blowing cold. I was mad when it stopped working and I hit the dashboard, someone it started...


Possibly bad resistor on blower speed control, replace it with higher wattage resistor of the same value. If you continue to hit the dash, you will damage the control and it will be more expensive than the resistor. Amclaussen.

Make sure your coolig fan(s) are running while the ac is on. I''m not sure how you now that you have sufficient refrigerant in the system, but I would also have that checked. Over filled systems can act that way too! Last but not least, high and low pressure switches should be checked, amd if all else fails, check the expansion valve.

your AC may need regassing,if this is the problem running your AC can cause damage to the AC compressor, the regasing needs to be done by qualified personnel.....hope this helps.....cheers

Not blowing cold air !!


You need check the level with a gage while its on and blowing high on the low side the ac.
either it need R134a added ore you might have leak. Best thing is check the level first and if low add the dye to see where leaks out and then top off the ac until full but you cant over fill it ore it loc up the ac pump

2000 dodge straus ,ac blows only on high


Blower speed is controlled by a regulator. When the regulator goes bad, it causes this happened. Need to locate the Blower regulator to replace. Good luck.

A/C/Heater only work and High and Heater does not blow hot air.


you can change the thermostat yourself for under 20 dollars. if you dont know how go to an autozone and they will assist you.
