I may be able to help but need to understand your problem. Does it begin to shake and then quit running as you slow down? This type problem is often associated with a failed TCC solenoid. I just posted a solution on this site for someone having this problem. You can search for that solution to see if this sounds like your problem.

What could be wrong with my Toyota Echo if the engine chugs while idling, and the car loses power when accelerating (stalling out if accelerating too quickly)?

There are numerous things that will cause this problem. If the check engine light is on, have the codes checked to see if there is a problem the computer has found to cause this issue. Even without the check engine light on, there may be a code stored. You can also do a visual inspection under the hood for any disconnected hoses causing vacuum leaks. These are the best places to begin with diagnostics

2006 chrysler sebring chugs wants stall

I doubt it. You should have the computer checked for trouble codes.
It could be a long list of things including low fuel pressure.

Car chugs and sometimes stalls while idoling. codes that come up are P0771, P0128, P0171, and P2195 any help is appreciated

First code P0771 is shift solenoid E is stuck or has a performance problem.Code P0128 could be low coolant, leaking or stuck open thermostat, faulty coolant fan (running to much) or faulty coolant temperature sensor.Code P0171 fuel system to lean usally its a dirty mas air flow sensor or a weak fuel pump, fuel filter or fuel pressure regulator. Code P2195 is oxygen sensor stuck lean bank1 sensor 1.I would check for low fuel pressure causing the lean condition or faulty injectors (clogged). Also i would replace the coolant temperature sensor.

I have a 2004 ford focus and the engine light is on and has been for a while . But it chugs all the time and when I come to a stop light I have to put it in neutral or it will stall. Also if I am in...

Since you engine light is on, your computer has detected a problem, so I would suggest you let the computer tell you what it could be.

Most auto parts stores will read you OBD2 codes for you for free, just take the care to anyone of them and let them read you the codes. MAKE SURE YOU WRITE THOSE CODES DOWN IN THE ORDER THAT THEY COME OFF THE READER.

You can either then look the codes up on the internet or come back here and we will try to help you out with it.

Low idle, stalls when put into gear, engine light on, code reader finds p0506 what is the most likely cause. the ICV recall was just done, this problem was happening before the recall work was done

When is the code detected? The idle speed is less than the target idle speed by 100 rpm or more.
Possible Causes - Dirty throttle body
- Electric throttle control actuator misadjusted or damaged
- Faulty Electric throttle control actuator
- Intake air leak
- Poor electrical connection to the Intake Air Control (IAC) valve
Possible Solution If there are no intake leaks, clean throttle body, adjust engine idle and erase engine code. If the code comes back you may have to replaced the Electric Throttle Control Actuator (Motor) to repair the problem.

Low idle

Here is the most common cause of surges and stalls and low idle rough idle, it is the idle speed control air-bypass valve and throttle valve (IAC for short), they get full of gunk over the miles and cause idle issues (stalls, low idle) like yours, Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake.
