What cover have you removed? Where? I don't have a diagram but it depends what electrical system you have. Where I would look first is on the fuse panel under the dash. If it's there, there will be either one or two of them. If your 4 ways still work, turn them on. The one thats not clicking is for the directionals. Some models have the directional flasher clipped to the edge of the lower dash support, or if someone changed it since new, it may be tucked into the wiring under there. Or, there is a chance that you have a module for both, usually located on right side of steering column under dash. For years, just about everyone put them on the fuse block...I'd really like to meet the brain sturgeon who decided to start moving them around!!! good luck!

Have my steering column on 2001 Jeep Cherokee sport opened up to replace hazard/turn signal flasher block. Cant find its location. Have already changed out turn signal switch assembly.

On the switch you just replaced, trace the RED/WHT and VIO/TAN wires toward the front of your Sport and they will connect to the combination flasher. It has BLK and BLK/PNK wires connected to it.

How to replace a relay switch for a 1999 jeep grand cherokee

The relay on our 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee was located behind the headlight on the passenger side of the vehicle. technicians at the Jeep dealership that you have to remove the bumper to get to it OR you can remove the headlight assembly and drill a hole large enough to get a socket and extension to the bolts on the relay..removed the headlight and drilled a 5/8" hole to get to the relay screws.
Why Jeep puts this relay in such a hard place to reach is beside me - - - other than perhaps they don't want it to be easily customer replaceable. Argh! Good luck.

Replaced flasher box and all four lights flash using turn signals

what was the jeep doing before you changed the flasher box, was 1 side flashing or both sides or none, are you sure that you have the correct replacement for the flasher. also did you check your fuses under the instrument panel. on some of these models , the fuses are located under the steering wheel behind a plastic cover, that has to be pulled out and up to remove.

Where is the exact location of the electronic flasher in my 99 jeep so that i can replace it?

The flasher is on the front and at the very top of the fuse panel under the dash. You may have to remove the dash cover to get to it. It is the really long square relay in the middle.

Once you get it out why not fix it. It is pretty easy to do. Look at the end of the flasher relay with the prongs sticking out. There will be 2 plastic tabs holding it together. Break or bend these back. Pull out the insides. On one side will be all the components. On the other side will be solder joints. Get a magnifying glass and inspect these joints. One or two will probably have stress cracks. Just dab a little flux on this joint and heat it with a soldering iron until it melts back together. You may need to add just a little solder. Be sure to get the pins hot and not just the solder. They need a lot of heat. Slide the relay back into its cover, dab a little super glue or tape it back together, and you're ready to go.

Hope this helps.
