Open the hood. The light assembly has two black metal tabs, pull them up. Then the assembly will pull out. On the back of the assembly pull off the top round rubber cap. Reach in and twist out the light with a quarter turn. Disconnect the wire, and connect it to the new bulb. Take care not to touch the bulb as the oils from your fingers will heat up and blow the new bulb. Put the new bulb in the same way the ould one came out lining up the three tabs into the assembly. Give it a quarter turn to secure, place the assembly back into place, push down on the metal tabs,

My low beam headlights won't turn on in 2004 gmc envoy

It's the headlamp relay #46. If you want to test it, swap it out with the cooling fan relay #45 and see if your headlights work. If they do you know this is the fix. Found the solution online a couple of years ago and it was spot-on. The part was $45 at autozone at the time.

2004 envoy xuv low beams dont work switched fuses 45 and 46 still nothing any ideas

Other possibilities are; the bulbs themselves, burnt or corroded bulb sockets, or a bad headlight selector switch.

Checked fuses , relay, dimmer switch in my 2004 GMC envoy, still no low beam headlights. Pleas help:(

If you have checked and discounted the relay, the only things left are the headlight switch and the wiring and to the headlights. Try the switch first. It is not impossible that both bulb's low beam filaments may have fused at the same time, unlikely but not impossibly. (It will not be fuses, unless two fuses blew together).

Is there more than one relay switch? I found one for the high beams but not one for the low beams. I changed my dimmer switch and the bulbs but nothing has helped, I have high beams just not low beams and...

The low beam relay is #46 in the underhood fuse panel. check its contact pins before replacing it. If they are corroded, try cleaning them first.

Need to replace low beam bulbs in 2004 GMC envoy. Help?

Lift hood, at top of each headlight assembly look for two L-shaped tabs. Pull these tabs straight up, this will release the headlight assembly. Lift assembly forward to gain access to rear of assembly. There two rubber caps, the top one is for access to the low beam and the bottom for the high beam bulbs. Remove the appropriate cap, grasp bulb socket and turn CCW to release. Unplug bulb from socket by releasing catch on side of socket, install new bulb, DO NOT touch bulb glass with fingers. Reverse steps to re-assemble.
